VVOB heeft de Lerarenopleiding Beroepsonderwijs (LOBO) in Suriname ondersteund om haar opleiding competentiegericht te maken. Hiertoe moest het volledige curriculum herzien worden. Als vertrekpunt is een opleidingsprofiel ontwikkeld waarin alle competenties voor LOBO afgestudeerden worden omschreven. Het opleidingsprofiel is gebaseerd op het beroepsprofiel voor de leerkracht in Suriname. Ook is het werkveld geconsulteerd en zijn studenten en leerkrachten betrokken in het ontwerpproces. Het opleidingsprofiel is het eerste officiële opleidingsprofiel in Suriname dat is goedgekeurd door de minister van onderwijs. Op basis van het opleidingsprofiel is vervolgens het LOBO curriculum herzien, om er voor te zorgen dat de student aan het einde van de opleiding alle competenties beheerst.
[EN] Supported by VVOB, Suriname’s teacher training institute for TVET teachers (LOBO) developed a curriculum framework based on Suriname’s professional standards for teachers. This curriculum framework includes all competences that LOBO student should achieve during their education. The framework was used the starting point for LOBO’s transition to competency-based education. The LOBO curriculum framework was the first set of educational standards to receive formal approval of the Surinamese minister of education.
